Pupil Premium

Early Years Pupil Premium

From April 2015 all nursery aged provision were able to claim extra funding through the Early Years Pupil Premium to support children’s learning and development.

The Early Years Pupil Premium provides up to an extra £310 a year for the nursery for each eligible child taking up their 15 hours of funded early education.

We will use this funding on a range of strategies to ensure we have a positive impact on children’s progress and in particular those children who are in danger of falling behind. For example targeted group work and one to one support.

Recently we have used this funding for Forest Schools & movement/dance workshops. We have also purchased a copy of our core story for each Pupil Premium child. In addition from 2021 we contribute to the Keighley Imagination Library to fund every Early Years Pupil Premium child. This programme launched by the Dollywood Foundation ensures every child receives a book in the post each month, addressed personally to them until they are 5. Visit our Imagination Library page to find out more.
